The committee is excited to announce that Rabbinical Candidate,
Rabbi Shamir Caplan and his wife Tania,
will be visiting BMH-BJ this weekend
January 7 and 8

Originally from South Africa, Rabbi Caplan was raised in Texas and attended the University of Texas. He was ordained as a rabbi at Yeshiva University and completed his final year at YU’s campus in Jerusalem (Gruss Institute). He is a MeOROT Fellow from the Hebrew Institute of Riverdale and received a Rabbinic Fellowship from the Wexner Graduate Fellowship. He was also on staff at Campus Hillel at the University of Pennsylvania.

He is currently both the Rabbi at Kehillat Beit Aharon in Melbourne as well as the school chaplain and Talmud coordinator at Mount Scopus Memorial College in Melbourne, Australia. In addition to his love of the rabbinate, he is passionate about chesed community mitzvah projects and interfaith dialogue.

Rabbi Caplan has been visiting with his brothers and parents here in Denver.
We are fortunate that Rabbi and Mrs. Caplan are able to arrange their schedules in order to spend the weekend with the BMH-BJ community at the following events:

Saturday, January 7
Morning Shabbat Services—Rabbi Caplan with be speaking to Shaarei Simcha at approximately 10:00 am and will address the sanctuary after that.
Kiddush will be after services.
He will be our guest speaker at Shalosh Seudah.

Sunday, January 8
There will be a meet and greet with the synagogue youth from 12:00 – 1:00 pm.
