Women’s League
Take me out to the Purim Carnival
It’s Purim so follow the crowd!
Buy me some mish mash and mandelbroit,
hamentashen and lunch ~ Oy, what a joy!
So, let’s test your luck at the goldfish bowl,
big wheel and costume parade.
That’s March 4th, 11 to 3 at BMH-BJ!!
Purim is just around the corner! Search your ’dugout’ for gently used costume jewelry, artwork, table linens and, toys for Mish Mash. ‘Pitch’ them to the Women’s League, which is now accepting items! Please bring into the office or contact the Women’s League at 303-951-8226.
Even if you’re a ‘veteran’ volunteer, please contact us to reserve your favorite spot in the ‘line up.’ Please contact for food: Della at 303-951-8231 or Sami. For games contact: Ann or Marie.
Bakers needed for a ‘double play’ to make hamentashen and mandelbroit every Sunday in February, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Please rsvp to Charlene. It would help us to ‘keep score’ of our weekly volunteer ‘count.’

Your Women’s League provides vital services to the BMH-BJ Congregation:
- Yizkor Memorial Booklet
- Break-the-fast after Yom Kippur
- Goodies for Kiddush created by our talented Baking Committee
- Decorating the Sukkah and the Bima
- Gifts to our b’nai mitzvot, confirmands and consecration class
- Holiday survival packages to our college students
- Purim Carnival
We serve the congregation and the community through the operation of the beautiful BMH-BJ Gift Shop.
Each year the Women’s League gives a major gift to the congregation. Last year’s gift was a new ice machine, which stores 500 pounds of ice. This year the kitchens were cleaned and restocked with new pots, pans and other kitchenware. We also produce interesting and fun programs on different themes throughout the year.
We are blessed with interesting and accomplished women as our members and directors. Involvement in the activities of the Women’s League provides us with the opportunity to make new friends, learn new skills and old traditions, and strengthen our BMH-BJ community.
Marcia Snyder, the administrative staff of the Women’s League, can be reached at the shul directly at 303-951-8226 or WomensLeague@bmh-bj.org.
