BMH-BJ is delighted to announce the hiring of Rabbi Benjamin Greenberg

Originally from San Diego, Rabbi Greenberg was ordained as a rabbi at Yeshivat Chovevei Torah with graduate coursework at Yeshiva University. He is currently the Rabbi at the Harvard Hillel and the Director of the Orthodox Union Seif Jewish Learning Initiative on Campus at Harvard University. He and his wife Sharon have a son, Yehuda. Rabbi Greenberg brings considerable experience in dealing with diverse communities both at Harvard Hillel and in rabbinic internships. Sharon is a PhD candidate in Jewish Education, has run Jewish summer camps and currently works with Rabbi
Greenberg at the Harvard Hillel.
A Rabbinic Search Committee, headed by Gil Rosenthal, con-ducted an extensive search over many months. This in-cluded evaluating 25 potential candidates with varying levels of experience and backgrounds. Initial evaluations were followed by interviews, weekend visits by rabbinic candidates and their families and follow-up discussions.
Rabbi Greenberg expressed his impression of the BMH-BJ congregation shortly after his ini-tial visit: “We were deeply inspired by the true sense of dedication and passion that the community has for the future success, vibrancy and vitality of BMH-BJ.”
