A Special Dinner & Speaker Series
Join us the 4th Friday of every month for a special program featuring a speaker (or other entertainment) and delicious themed dinner.

Friday, February 23
Featuring Persian cuisine and guest speaker Dr. Robert Salehrabi. Dr. Salehrabi will share his incredible personal journey out of Iran, his experiences living in Iran, and how he established a new life in our community.

Friday, March 23
Featuring Egyptian cuisine and guest speaker Dr. Seth Ward. Dr. Ward will illuminate the findings of the Cairo Geniza and discuss their significance then and now. Dr. Ward lectures on Islam, the Middle East, and Jews living in the Muslim World.

Friday, April 27
Featuring Israeli cuisine and welcoming our combined BMH-BJ & Rodef Shalom Confirmation class, their families, and their teachers, Rabbi Chaitovsky and Rabbi Gerson. In honor of Yom Ha’Atzmaut the week prior, our special guest speakers will share with us personal stories and insights into the history and culture of Israel.

Beginning early, at 5:00pm, May's 4th Friday dinner will feature finger food and a kid-friendly entertainer! In honor of the end of the school year and the Preschool Graduation the day prior, we head into Shabbat with appreciation for our Preschool teachers and staff for another wonderful year.

Friday, June 22
Featuring classic American grill cuisine and honoring Jewish War Veterans of the United States of America. Our guest speaker and community member, Michael Shapiro, will share his personal story with us.

Friday, July 27
Shabbat Nachamu has become a moment in the Jewish calendar for Jewish singles to mix and match. This special 4th Friday program will feature tapas and tastes, cocktails and small plates. To further encourage conversation, the evening will host playful moments of connection - and possibly competition - in lieu of a speaker.

Friday, August 24
Featuring Chinese cuisine and welcoming guest speaker Jamie Fleishman. Jamie lived and worked in China and is a former resident of Moishe House Beijing. Jamie has traveled the world educating young adults like himself in the Moishe House network, sharing his knowledge of Jewish communities in China and all corners of the globe.
