A major theme of Rabbi Sacks’ voluminous writings focused on community. In 1995, he wrote Community of Faith, an evaluation of the role of the modern synagogue in Jewish life. In it, he explores the choices faced by religious leadership in the modern world, and the ways in which the synagogue embodies a living community of faith.
